FEBio Tutorial 1: Navigating GUI 본문
I am a beginner for FEBiO and learning how to use it by myself.
All tutorial sources are from https://help.febio.org/PreView/PreView_2_1/index.html based on FEBiO studio 1.0.0 (beta).
I will follow 12 tutorials to summarize/remake/add contents for my understanding.
Tutorial 1 is showing the basic concept of FEBiO GUI and explain how to use each window and tools.
The below figure is an overview of the FEBio Studio.

Open a file
Open the file for tutorial 1 from the directory C:\Program Files\PreView2.1.5\Examples.
Click File/Open from the Main menu bar.

The model of tutorial 1 is shown.

Manipulating a model at the Graphical view
In the Graphical view
Rotating: holding the right button of the mouse and dragging
Panning: holding the middle button of the mouse and dragging
Zooming: holding the right button of the mouse and dragging
Selecting objects at the Graphical view
In the Main toolbar
Selecting Objects, Parts, Surface, Curve, Nodes, Discretes

Using a box, circle, and free form
: Holding Shift for selecting and Ctrl for unselecting and holding left mouse button and dragging some area for selection

Transforming objects
Translation, rotation, and scaling the selected objects

Object translation
Selecting an object and clicking the translation tool: a triad appears
Moving the mouse cursor on an axis and the selected axis becomes highlighted. The object is movable to the highlighted direction.

Rotation and scaling are similar to the moving objects

When needing a precision transformation: Edit/Transform
Can adjust the transformation numerically

Undo and redo are available at the Main menu bar
